The revised RAC 0-30 MHz Band Plan has been released with the effective date of December 1, 2015. This replaces the January 1, 2015 Band Plan version. It incorporates several updates to reflect feedback received on the earlier version. The Band Plan graphics have also been changed to improve readability and make it easier to determine which segments are recommended for which modes, especially for those who are colour-blind. A pleasant Christmas get together was held earlier today at Timmie’s. A lot of pleasant conversation and we got caught up on how various people are doing. Although not planned the topic did get around to emergency preparedness. With our success in Shake Out BC last month we have started an EP module to Coastal Ham Radio. Members will receive the details shortly how to get involved in our virtual EOC. We will have another coffee get together sometime in the New year.

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
70 to 90 km/h west to southwest winds will prevail over the south coast for much of Tuesday due to a low pressure system tracking into the B.C. Interior.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
