Looks like we’re in for another wild ride with the weather.
Rain, at times heavy, is expected. A storm will approach the North Coast tonight. The associated cold front will sweep across Vancouver Island on Thursday. Heavy rain will develop ahead of the front beginning early Thursday across the South Coast and continuing through Friday. Total amounts of 50 to 100 mm are expected over a 24 to 36 hour period. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet reports to #BCStorm.
