The team of the Radio Operadores del Sur (Radio Operators of the South-ROS) are going to activate Special Event Station K4M commemorating the 157th anniversay of the first telegraph communication by cable in Latin America. This historic event was done by Mr. Samuel F B Morse on March 1st, 1859 in the city of Arroyo, Puerto Rico.
This special event will be on the air February 27 and 28, 2016 at the end of Calle Morse in Arroyo near the beach and in it they will demonstrate the history and advances in radio communications modes ranging fron CW, phone, SSTV, PSK31 and APRS.
There will be 4 radio stations working on 146.520 Mhz, 6, 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meters and they are inviting any amateur radio CW operators who would like to participate on the event.
