Bad news from the Bouvet DXpedition team

First let’s start with the following chain of events.

On January 31st, at 0600z, the team announced that they have arrived at Bouvet! There was fog and freezing rain that greeted them. Later that day, at 1500z, Ralph, K0IR, reported: Bouvet Island came into view at about 0600 UTC today. Continue reading

At our weekly get together on Thursday Lou, VE7CGE informed us that their annual swap meet is drawing close. He said he’s been getting calls with amateurs wanting to book tables. Ham Trip To The South

Oh what to do to get out of the cold BC winter?
Well let’s just head south and see what we can do that is ham related.
Ah, Quartzfest, the third week of January. Let’s dry camp in the middle of the Arizonia desert for a week. 6 miles south of Quartzsite Az. Pull of Highway 95 follow the signs and look for all of the RV’s with strange antennas sticking up. A week camping with lots of like minded folks. Seminars, demo’s, campfires, hobo stew, cast iron cooking, a hootenanny, meeting old friends and a Saturday early morning swapmeet. What could be better. Continue reading

It is Swap Meet again on Sunday March 05 2017. We are attaching some promotional material that you can share with your friends and club members.
We have already received some requests for tables. It is our intention to sell out all the tables by mid February like we did last year. This Sunday – Burnaby Amateur Radio Swap Meet

This Sunday (March 6) the Burnaby Amateur Radio Swap Meet will take place. With 99% of the tables sold this promises to be a bonanza for buyers looking to add to their radio gear.
